Proper emphasis had been given for spread of education among the rural masses of the Sundarbans as the proper education can play a pivotal role in eradicating the social ills predominantly prevailing by way of manifestation of inner potentialities possessed by each and every individual and thereby one can be able to stand on his own fit and cope with the challenges of life with confidence.
With this motto the Ashram establishes 11 (eleven) Educational Institutions of various status starting from Nursery Level to Higher Secondary Level with primary importance on character building, observance of discipline, obedience, punctuality, team spirit, clean environment and love & fellow-feelings for others. The schools are staffed with dedicated and qualified teachers who used to impart lessons to the students with great care and take care of them in schools.
It starts functioning as X-Class High School with effect from 01.01.1967 and has been upgraded as a Higher Secondary School from the session 1997-98 with Science, Arts and Commerce of the General Stream Courses. From the session 2006-2007 the School has been facilitated with the provision of Vocational Stream Courses in X+2 Level sanctioned by the West Bengal State Council of Vocational Education and Training in order to provide alternative livelihood to the educationally backward students. The Community Hostel attached to the School accommodates boy-students coming from all communities inclusive of SC, ST, Flayers’ Community, OBC and Muslim students domiciled mainly in the remote and far-off islands of the Sundarbans. There are 100 Cadets in the National Cadet Corps under the 20 Bengal Battalion in the School. This year 47 cadets appeared in the ‘A’ Certificate Examination and all of them came out successfully.
In the session 2024, 208 students appeared for the Madhyamik Examination, out of whom 204 students came out successful and in the Higher Secondary Examination 108 students appeared and out of whom 105 students passed out successfully.
This is a X Class High School from Junior High School w.e.f. 01.01.1980 sanctioned by the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education. It has been also upgraded into a Higher Secondary one with effect from 2001-2002 session with Arts and Science of the General Stream Courses by the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education. Situated in the Nimpith Sri Sarada Ashram Campus it has a attached hostel where girl-students hailing from the different islands of the Sundarbans belonging to SC, ST, OBC and Muslim Community are generally accommodated. The Hostel has been under the intensive vigilance of the lady superintendent who has been adequately assisted by some dedicated lady teachers in its day to day management.
In the session 2024, 213 students appeared for the Madhyamik Examination, out of whom 211 students came out successful and in the Higher Secondary Examination 164 students appeared and out of whom 163 students came out successfully.
The School is a residential one only for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe students. The unique feature of the School is that there are only 30 students in each class. As a result, the class-teachers pay adequate attention to each and every pupil in all respect. So, the result of the students in their final examination is quite satisfactory. During the year under review 31 students appeared in the Madhyamik Examination and all of them came out successfully.
This School has been located at Village-Tulsighata and has been upgraded as a High School w.e.f. 01.01.2014 and is under the management of Sri Ramkrishna Ashram, Nimpith. In the session 2024, 39 students appeared for the Madhyamik Examination, and out of whom 35 students passed out successfully.
This School is a 4-Class Jr. High School (Co-Education) and is under the management of Sri Ramkrishna Ashram, Nimpith. The School has yet to be recognized by the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education, but persistent efforts is going on for the same.
It is one of the first educational institutions established by the Ashram having a roll-strength of 2131 during the year under review. The School is under the management of Sri Ramkrishna Ashram, Nimpith and fully aided by the Govt. of West Bengal.
The School was established in the year 1963 with sanctioned teaching and non-teaching staff of 2 & 2 respectively. The total no. of students in Pre-Basic I & II and classes I to IV are 1044 in the reporting year. The School has been catering to the need and demand of the local people.
The Ashram has been running this special school for Child Labour sanctioned and sponsored by the “Dakshin Chabbis Parganas Shishu Shramik Punarbasan Samity” under National Child Labour Programme. The speciality of the school is that all the Child-Labour students are kept in the Ashram Hostel. The students are provided with daily lessons and vocational training. All the students in the age-group of 9-14 years are trained in punctuality, regularity and good habits etc. This type of school needs to be a residential one for ensuring all-round development of the children.
