Annual Celebration
Exhibition cum Krishi Mela

The 64th Annual Celebration of Sri Ramkrishna Ashram, Nimpith alongwith ‘Krishi Mela-cum-Technology Week 2024’ on Agro-Technologies & Bio-Technologies was held on and from 19th to 21st January, 2024, at Ashram’s Vivekananda Play Ground Premises. The main theme of the of Krishimela -cum-Technology Week was “Climate Smart Agriculture”. The main features of the Exhibition were Educative stalls on different technologies developed by the Ramkrishna Ashram Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Vivekananda Institute of Biotechnology, Developmental Activitions implemented by the Rural Development Wing, Green College and Mahila Samity and the actvities carried out by the R.K. Ashram Mobile Health Care-PIF Project.

Srimat Swami Jnanlokanandaji Maharaj, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission Swami Vivekananda’s Ancestral House and Cultural Centre, Kolkata kindly inaugurated the Krishi Mela-cum- Exhibition on the 19th January, 2024 at 11.00 a.m. by lighting the lamp in presence of Dr. Pradip Dey, Director, ICAR-ATARI, Kolkata, Shri Prabhat Kumar Bose, Director, Dept. of Agriculture, GoWB and Shri Partha Mandal, GM, NABARD, Kolkata.

  • On the opening day Seminars on different tropics were organised as in the following:

  • In the beginning, Welcome Address was delivered by Swami Sadananda, Secretary, Sri Ramkrishna Ashram, Nimpith.

  • At 06.00 p.m. Yatra: “Bidrohi Bhagaban” was staged by Ra-Sa-Vi Natya Samstha, Nimpith.

  • At 04.30 p.m. ‘Jhumur Gan’ was presented by Sanjib Kumar Mahato, Purulia.
  • At 06.00 p.m. ‘Chhou Naach’ was performed by Haram Janga Chhou Nritya Samity, Purulia and the Troupe Leader was Shri Anil Kumar Mahato.
